Mrs. Ettie Belle Lair, wife of Walter Lair of Girard, died in St. Francis Hospital, Litchfield, at 5 p. m. Friday, April 19.
Decedent was born in 1873. She is survived by her husband and three daughters, Mrs. Anna Crouch of Girard, Mrs. Edith Herron of East St. Louis and Mrs. Mae Cain of McVey; four sons, Earl, Perry and Paul Lair, at home, and Otis Lair of Nilwood; four sisters, Mrs. Agnes Cloud of Girard, Mrs. Jennie Meeds of Nilwood, Mrs. Florence Quarton of Hornsby, and Mrs. Dellah Loveless of Palmyra; one brother, J. E. Adcock of Girard.
Funeral services were held in Nilwood Baptist church at 2 o'clock, Sunday afternoon. Interment was made in Girard cemetery.
