Mrs. Jennie M. Meeds, 91, of Nilwood passed away Thursday in St. John's hospital, Springfield.
Born June 19, 1862, in North Otter township, decedent was a daughter of Henry and Martha Swift Adcock. She was a member of Nilwood Baptist church.
Mrs. Meeds resided in the Nilwood community for the past 40 years and before that in Oklahoma for 25 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lorena Adams of Springfield; two sons, Leigh C. of Nilwood and Henry G. of Lowell, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. John Quarton of Litchfield and Mrs. Pella Loveless of Palmyra; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at Berry funeral home in Girard. Dr. Vernon Shontz of Springfield officiated and interment was in Girard cemetery.
