A 93-year-old retired farmer of Girard, William A. Eskew, died last Wednesday morning at Lake View Nursing home, Carlinville. Services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Berry funeral home in Girard and interment was in Oak Grove cemetery.
He leaves one son, Eldon of Hood River, Ore.; four daughters, Mrs. Hazel McCollum of Plant City, Fla., Miss Helen Eskew of Nilwood, Mrs. Elma Lyman of Springfield, Mrs. Elberta Adcock of Eaton Park, Fla.; three half-brothers, Henry Myers of Auburn, A. J. Wood of Tracy, Calif., and Herbert Wood of Girard; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
