Elmore L. Hays, 84, of Virden died at 4 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 1995, at Doctors Hospital in Springfield.
Mr. Hays attended Blackburn College. He was a member of Macoupin County Farm Bureau and served on the A.S.C.S. Committee for many years.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 29, at Berry Funeral Home in Virden with burial in Union Chapel Cemetery in Girard.
Surviving are his wife, Adele M.; a daughter, Mrs. A. Michael (Janell M.) Bednara of Osage Beach, Mo.; two grandsons, Drew Bednara and Scott Bednara, both of Osage Beach; and a nephew, Richard Hays of Lebanon.
Memorials may be made to 1st Presbyterian Church in Virden or Girard Alumni Association.
