Gillespie, July 5.-- Oscar Sandahl, 54, died at noon today at the veterans' hospital in Jacksonville, where he was taken a few days ago for treatment. Decedent was born in Sweden and had been a resident of this city for the last thirty years. He has been employed as a miner and for a number of years played in the local band.
Surviving relatives are his wife, Helen, two children by a previous marriage,
Oscar jr. [sic],
and
Thelma,
Gillespie; his parents, four sisters and three brothers who live at Forserium, Sweden.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Christian church, Rev. Henry Scaggs officiating. Interment will be in the Gillespie cemetery.
