Otto W. Wingo of Ewing dies today
Otto W. Wingo, 89, of Ewing, died today, Friday, March 21, 1986 at Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Mr. Wingo was a retired farmer and coal miner. He was a member of Ewing Baptist Church.
Mr. Wingo was a native of Franklin County, born in Whittington January 2, 1897, to Richard and Mary Alice Jones Wingo. On June 22, 1918, in Whittington, he married Ruth Lorene Pickard Wingo.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Jo Ann Kelley, Carmi, and Dorothy Taylor, Ford Dodge, Iowa.
He also leaves four grandchildren and a brother, Frank Wingo, Taylorville.
Mr. Wingo was preceded in death by two sons, Russell and Ralph Wingo; his parents, a sister, two half-sisters and three half-brothers.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Johnston Funeral Home of Whittington.
The Reverend Russell Monroe will officiate.
Interment will be in Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery, Benton.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Saturday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
