Funeral services for Paul Edgar "Puff" Wingo, 68, of Taylorville, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Shafer Funeral home. Rev. Michael Branch will officiate and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 o'clock tonite. [sic]

Mr. Wingo died at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1994 in St. Vincent Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 14, 1926 in East St. Louis, the son of Erva and Neoma Loucks Wingo and he married Nova Lucille Hale April 16, 1953 in Omaha, NE. Mr. Wingo was a retired tree surgeon and was an army veteran. He was a past president of Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Surviving are his wife, Nova; three daughters, Janice Schuyler, Patricia Hall and Gail Dain, all of Taylorville; three sons, Denis of Streamwood, Michael of Schaumburg and Dale of Taylorville; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ann Fay Wilson of Auburn, Betty Lou Davis, Omaha, NE, Vella Mae Kimball of Taylorville; three brothers, Kenneth of Omaha, NE, Harold of Springfield and Donald of Pacific Junction, IA. He was preceded in death by brothers, James, Erva Jr., Wayne, Curt and Larry.
