My first Nadesico drabble simply had to be an Izumi Maki pun-fest.

The three Aestivalis pilots had destroyed a Jovian battle robot in the form of a multi-limbed insect.
Izumi pulled two damaged limbs from the destroyed robot, and carefully lined them up. "Aaaand... they're OFF!!" She flung the two limbs into deep space.
"What in the heck are you doing!?" Ryoko yelled.
"I'm starting an arms race," Izumi said, in a self-induced giggle fit.
Ryoko grabbed another loose limb, and swung it like a club. "LEMME KILL HER!! JUST A LITTLE!!"
Izumi's mecha held up its empty hands. "You'd attack me *giggle* when I'm *giggle* unarmed?" Izumi asked.
"AAUGH!!" said Ryoko.
