Kyon and Haruhi walked up to a puddle in the road. Kyon walked around it, but Haruhi stopped and looked expectantly at Kyon.
Kyon sighed. "What!?"
"If you were a gentleman," Haruhi said, "You'd take off your coat and throw it across this puddle, so that I could walk through."
"If I were a gentleman," Kyon said, "and if I had clothing to waste. Just walk around it, Haruhi!"
"OOH!!" Haruhi stomped her foot in exasperation— and in the puddle, splashing both herself and Kyon with cold muddy water.
Kyon lunged at Haruhi. "I'm gonna throw you into this puddle!!"
