The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya © Nagaru Tanigawa / Noizi Ito / SOS Brigade / Kadokawa Shoten / Kyoto Animation.

The SOS Brigade was working on a difficult assignment together.

"Kyon!! Where's the kanji dictionary!?" Haruhi suddenly asked.

"I thought you brought it," Kyon said. "I guess I'll have to go—"

*WHOMP!!* Yuki silently whipped out a huge hard-cover kanji dictionary from her blouse pocket, as if the pocket were much bigger on the inside than on the outside, and then dropped the dictionary on the table.

Everyone else sweat-dropped. "Um, Miss Nagato?" asked Kyon. "Where were you carrying that?"

"Next to my encyclopaedia," Yuki said innocently.

It's even more ridiculous, Kyon thought to himself, because she doesn't need them.
