Charles Estel Adcock 83, of Peoria, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2002. He was a loving husband, father, and grandpa who has left us to take his place in Heaven. We rejoice in knowing that he is with our Lord. He was born on September 28, 1918 in Nilwood, Illinois to Charles and Goldie (Barnes) Adcock. He married Katherine Wolfe on December 22, 1936 and they enjoyed 65 years together. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife; his son Wayman (Karin) Adcock, of Avondale; his grandson Jeffrey (Michele) Adcock, of Phoenix; his granddaughter Jennifer (Lorne) Shantz, his great-grandson, Nathaniel Shantz and great-granddaughter Rachael Shantz, of Phoenix; and his niece Hettie (Tom) Willoughby, of Springfield, Illinois. He served his country during World War II where he was a Technical Sergeant 4 in the 989th Field Artillery Unit in Europe. After retiring as an Operating Engineer, he moved to Arizona in 1983 where he enjoyed his family, fishing, the desert weather and tinkering in his wood shop. Visitation from 10-11 AM, Friday, May 10th at Lundberg Golden Door, 11211 Michigan Ave., Youngtown, AZ. Graveside Service is at 11:30 AM, Friday, May 10th at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6290 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, AZ.
