William Elmer Adcock was born in North Otter, Macoupin county, Ill., August 25, 1881. Died at his home in Girard, after a brief illness, on March 21, 1901, aged 19 years, six months and 25 days. During a series of union revival services held in Girard in the early part of 1896 Elmer professed confession, and united with the ministry of Rev. W. B. Wiseman. For several months past he had been making his home at Springfield, Ill. His many friends were shocked to hear of his untimely death, and the sympathy of the community goes out most heartily to the members of the stricken family.
