Howard W. ADCOCK

Howard Walter Adcock, 72, of Girard died at 9:26 Friday morning, May 27 at Memorial Medical center in Springfield. He was the father of Raymond Adcock, Mrs. Clarence (Mary) Maberry and Mrs. Jack (Lola) Braley, all of Carlinville.

Born June 16, 1910 in Nilwood, he was the son of Frank and Millie (Hays) Adcock. He married Lena Ersery September 14, 1929 in Springfield and she survives.

Services were at 10:30 Tuesday morning at Berry Funeral Home, Girard, with the Rev. Don Cameron officiating. Mrs. Macille Berry served as organist.

Burial was in Union Chapel cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, Todd and Curt Maberry, Stephen and Michael Adcock, Bryan LeMarr and Rick Adcock.

Additional survivors include four sons, Edwin "Bud" of Divernon, Gary of Girard, Jerry of Tolleson, Arizona, and Larry of Lowder; five daughters, Mrs. Bruce (Faye) LeMarr of Shipman, Mrs. John (Carolyn) Kaburick of Highland, Mrs. Gary (Linda) DesLauriers and Mrs. Wayne (Bertha) Overly, both of Aurora, and Miss Gladys Adcock of Girard; 29 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lola Shipp of Nilwood, Mrs. Mae Kunz of Springfield and Mrs. Gladys Casey of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two brothers, Frank Adcock of Chatham and Ralph Adcock of Florida.
