Mrs. Mae Kunz, 78, of Springfield died at 2:22 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Hospital.
A resident of Springfield for many years, Mrs. Kunz was born in Macoupin County the daughter of Frank and Mildred Hayes [sic] Adcock Sr. Her husband, Anthony L. Kunz, and a daughter, Geraldine Kunz, both died in 1950 and a son, Louis E., died in 1981. Prior to her retirement she was employed in the cafeteria at the Franklin Life Insurance Co. for 25 years.
Mrs. Kunz was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Mildred Maggs of Springfield; one son, Robert L. Kunz of Springfield; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lola Shipp of Nilwood and Mrs. Gladys Casey of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Frank Adcock Jr. of Springfield and Ralph Adcock of Lakeland, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Church, the Rev. Hugh Cassidy officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
