GIRARD-- Hazel Marie Pierson, 91, of Girard died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, at Sunrise Manor in Virden.
She was born May 18, 1911, in South Otter Township, the daughter of Samuel and Edith Weller Bristow. She married Oren Truman Pierson in 1932 in Carlinville.
Mrs. Pierson was a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Dale Southern Baptist Church in Girard and Trail Blazers Trailer Club.
Survivors; husband, Oren T.; a son, Harold (wife, Pearl) Pierson of Girard; three daughters, Norma (husband, James) Smith of St. Jacob and Wanda (husband, Donald) Denney and Velma (husband, William) Pence, both of Palmyra; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Bertha Mae Waters of Hettick; two brothers, Melvin Bristow of Girard and Earl Bristow of Virden; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, the Rev. Floyd Terry and Dr. Ben Wilkins officiating. Burial: Union Chapel Cemetery, Girard.
