William Coverdill, Sr., one of the pioneer residents of Girard, died at his home there Wednesday morning about 6 o'clock. The deceased was past eighty years of age and was known by nearly everyone in that place and vicinity as he had been engaged in buying stock for many years. He was sick but a few days.
The funeral was held at the M. E. church, Girard, Friday afternoon at 2:30.
