Josephine "Cis" (GUGGER) HOELTING

Josephine "Cis" Hoelting, 93, of Carlinville, died at 1:33 p.m., Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at Friendship Home in Carlinville.

Born March 4, 1911, she was a daughter of Joseph and Eunice (Komoros) Gugger. She married John G. Hoelting in March 1946 in Carlinville, and he preceded her in death in Nov. 1979.

Mrs. Hoelting was a homemaker, as well as the secretary for the Calvary Cemetery Association for many years. She was a member of Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville.

Surviving Mrs. Hoelting are eight children, Marsha Hester and husband, Robert, of Hattiesburg, Miss., William Hoelting and wife, Betsy, of Rockford, Robert Hoelting and wife, Deborah, of Bartlett, Dean Hoelting and wife, Glenda, of Buffalo Grove, Jeannete, Gagan of Sante Fe, N.M., Jerald Hoelting and wife, Esperanza, of Decatur, Marilyn Kuntzman of Carlinville and Virginia Morehead and husband, Duane, of Carlinville; 32 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hoelting was preceded in death by two children, Marjorie Miner and Joseph Hoelting; a sister, Marie Mathias of Carlinville; and her twin brother, Joseph Gugger.

Funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 7, at Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville, with Rev. Dean Probst officiating. Organist was Marion Haas, who accompanied the church choir. Burial was at New Calvary Cemetery in Carlinville. Pallbearers were Matt Hoelting, Dan Hoelting, Andy Hoelting, Seth Hester, Ben Hester and Carl Behme.

Memorials are suggested to Calvary Cemetery Association.
