Donald Hagler Hays died Monday, Jan. 5, in Sunol, Calif., after a long illness.

Mr. Hays, the son of Cephas and Ruth Hagler Hays, was born and raised in Girard. He was a Girard High school graduate and a member of the Girard United Methodist church.

He is survived by his wife, Roe; one step son; 2 step grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Geraldine McElhanon of Girard; brother, Clifford Hays of Virden, and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Pauline, preceded him in death.

Mr. Hays was cremated and his ashes scattered over the ranch which he loved so well.

Memorials are designated to the United Methodist church, Girard.
