GIRARD, July 29 -- Robert Owen Hays, 82, died at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. He was born Aug. 7, 1875, in South Otter township.
He is survived by two sons, Harold C. and Elmore, both of Girard; and four grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Berry Funeral Home in Girard, the Rev. Bert Lancaster officiating. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery.
