GIRARD-- Frank H. Jenkins, 80, of Girard died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, at Capitol Care Center.
He was born June 9, 1922, in Virden, the son of Charles and Sylvia Cogswell Jenkins. He married Sara L. Webb in 1942 in Girard; she died in 1995. A son, Mark Jenkins, also preceded him in death.
Mr. Jenkins graduated from Virden High School in 1941. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a grain miller for Pillsbury Mills. He was a member of Girard United Methodist Church, Methodist Men, U.S. Hansford Reunion Group and Oak Leaf Country Club. He was a former board member of Girard Township Library and a past member of Macoupin County Board.
Survivors: two sons, David R. (wife, Mary Jo) Jenkins of Springfield and Thomas W. (wife, Barbara) Jenkins of Wilmette; a granddaughter; companion, Donna L. Wylder of Girard; a sister, Mae Wallner of Girard; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Calvert and Ferry Funeral Home, Girard, the Rev. Roy Doll and the Rev. Mark Slaatte officiating. Burial: Girard Cemetery.
