Fannie Adcock, 92, of Virden, formerly of Girard, died at 4 a.m. Saturday, January 26 at Gibson Manor Nursing Home in Gibson City.

Services were at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, January 29, at Berry Funeral Home in Virden with burial in Girard cemetery.

Surviving are two sons, Bernard "Barney" Adcock of Bellflower and Russell "Bud" of Cooksville; two daughters, Mrs. Josie Blankenship and Mary Nickel, both of Springfield; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Fannie Mae Adcock, 82, of Virden, formerly of Girard, died at 4 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at Gibson Manor Nursing Home in Gibson City.

She was born April 29, 1892 in Nilwood, the daughter of W. T. and Elizabeth Odell. She married George Adcock November 8, 1912 in Carlinville and he died in 1951. She was a member of Nilwood Baptist church. Most of her life was spent in northern Macoupin County with the last 3 1/2 years being in Gibson City.

Survivors are two sons, Bernard "Barney" Adcock of Bellflower and Russell "Bud" of Cooksville; two daughters, Josie Blankenship and Mary Nickel, both of Springfield; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Berry Funeral Home, Virden, with Rev. Don Neisler officiating and burial in Girard cemetery.

Pallbearers were William, David and Ralph Adcock, David Weber, Darrell Stewart Sr. and Darrell Stewart Jr.
