Helen Matilda Pursey, 82, of Carrier Mills, formerly of Carlinville, died at 8:38 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2000, at Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg.
She was born December 31, 1917, in Carlinville, a daughter of George and Fannie Laxton Pursey. Preceding her in death were a brother and a sister.
Miss Pursey attended the Carlinville schools and worked as a sewing machine operator at Carlinville Glove Factory.
No services were planned.
Burial was in Carlinville City Cemetery.
Davis-Anderson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Surviving is a brother, Cecil L. Pursey of Springfield.
