Obituary.

Georganna [sic] Stone Adcock, daughter of Reuben and Emmaline Stone, was born December 18, 1860, departed this life at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 14, 1914, aged 53 years, eleven months and 26 days. She was united in marriage to Merida Greenville Adcock in 1879, to this union, eleven children were born, eight of whom are living and are Mrs. Benjamin Drake, Mrs. Roy Mayfield, Nilwood; Mrs. L. F. DePoister, Vermont, Illinois; Charles E., North Otter; John T., South Otter; Mrs. Edward Jennings near Carlinville; Sarah E. and Merida, at home; Alexander died March 1, 1898; James and Edmund dying in infancy. Deceased was born in this township, and spent her life in this immediate vicinity, except one year they lived in Texas. She professed a hope in Christ early in life, and lived an exemplary Christian life till her Master saw fit to call her home. She was a good mother, a kind and obliging neighbor, and would rather deprive herself of the pleasures of this life, that she might be a blessing to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed in her home, where she was nearly always found caring for her own. She leaves her companion, children, thirteen grandchildren, one brother, J. T. Stone of Virden; and many relatives and sympathizing friends.

Funeral services at Union Chapel, Wednesday at eleven a.m., conducted by Rev. A. M. Stamper, and interment in the last addition to the cemetery. The pall bearers were John Oller, Grant Crawford, J. C. Trimble, C. R. Molen, Toney Lomilino [sic] and S. S. Crawford.
