Aaron Wingo, Benton, dies Thursday
Aaron Wingo, 87, of 301 North 10th Street, Benton, died Thursday after an illness of several months.
Mr. Wingo was a retired coal miner and Teamster, and also operated a bicycle repair shop. He was a member of Palestine Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sadie Biggs Wingo; a son, William Aaron Wingo, Jr., Westerbelt; and four daughters, Mrs. Bill (Evelyn) Gamble, Livingston, Texas; Mrs. Dale (Numa) Lampley, Lake Benton; Miss Maxine Wingo and Mrs. Norma Shockley, both of Benton.
He also leaves 11 grand-children and 10 great-grand-children.
Mr. Wingo was the last survivor of a family of ten children. He was also preceded in death by a son, Vernon Wingo, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home in Benton.
Interment will be in Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be after 5 p.m. Saturday.
