In Memory.

Elizabeth Peterson Butler was born December the twelfth eighteen hundred sixty five near Shipman Illinois, the daughter of Mr. William and Anna Curlis Butler.

She died September second ninteen [sic] hundred and thirty eight at the age of seventy two years eight months and twenty one days.

While still a child the family moved to Gillespie Illinois where she lived most of her life.

When she was twenty years of age (1888) she was united in marriage to Oscar A. Ward who passed away many years ago.

To this union were born three children one son and two twin daughters who survive her.
