Edmund (Frank) Adcock, 92 of Nilwood, died at 1:20 p.m. Saturday, at the Carlinville Area hospital.
He was the son of Edmund and Hester Ann Coverdill Adcock and was born in North Otter township February 1, 1871.
He is survived by the widow, Millie; four sons, Homer of Brighton, Howard of Carlinville, Frank of Springfield, Ralph of Eaton Park, Fla.; four daughters, Mrs. Lola Shipp, Mrs. Gladys Hughes, both of Nilwood, Mrs. Mae Kunz, Mrs. Bertha Wallis, both of Springfield; 25 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Union Chapel church west of Girard, Rev. Donald Cameron and Rev. Jim McCullon officiated. Burial was in Union Chapel cemetery.
Pallbearers were Orville Shipp, Wilbur Pitchford, Darrell Adcock, Wyman Adcock, Bob Kunz and Edwin Adcock.
Father of Carlinville man dies in hospital
Edmund (Frank) Adcock of Nilwood, father of Howard Adcock of Carlinville, died 1:20 p. m. Saturday at Area hospital at the age of 92.
Funeral services for Mr. Adcock were held Tuesday afternoon at Union Chapel church west of Girard with burial in Union Chapel cemetery.
